HOME SALES: Inland sees big gains in December
From Press-Enterprise 1/20/16
Inland home sales increased dramatically in December after a disappointing November, according to financial data company CoreLogic.
The company reported that 3,529 homes sold in Riverside County, a 30.2 percent increase over the 2,710 homes that sold in November. In San Bernardino County, 2,413 sold, a 23.9 percent increase over the 1,948 homes that sold in November.
Experts cautioned that a number of November closings were delayed due to new federal mortgage rules that took effect in October.
Across Southern California, December home sales were the best for that month in six years, said Andrew LePage, research analyst.
Riverside County home sales were up 8.3 percent over December 2014. San Bernardino County home sales were up 11.4 percent.
Median sale prices were $320,000 for Riverside County and $272,000 for San Bernardino County.
